<p><span>For one to pull off the art of chic, the first rule is to “forget perfect”. Being chic isnt' trying to be perfect, it's being you in the most stylish way you know how, and the good news is it’s completely up to you define your own form of perfection.</span></p>

<p><span>Style is a unique appearance, determined by your own personal preferences. Everyone has their own sense of style, one that announces your presence way before any words are spoken, and adding a touch of elegance to it makes you the complete package effortlessly. In other words “fashion is a mood and style is what you happen to do with it”.</span></p>

<p>Practice simplicity in your day to day clothing dress code pieces. Try not to overthink it and gracefully coordinate what you feel. Still not sure how to be chic? Here are a few tips that will help you embark on a journey not too many choose to take:</p>

<p><span>Tip 1: Come up with your own unique signature go to style: one that resonates only with you, even if it's misunderstood. If it makes you feel good, why not dare wear it and see just what happens? Lots of confidence and pure individuality, now if that is not chic then I don't know what is.</span></p>

<p><span>Tip 2: Thrift shop for stylish vintage and wear classic pieces. There isn’t a better feeling than being classy, no other form of fashion exudes chic as well as vintage and a good ol' classy look.</span></p>

<p><span>Tip 3: Wear bold colours. Bold colours display chicness because they make you look like you know what you’re doing (lol), even in the times you really don’t. Nobody else will ever know, even on that first date or make-or-break meeting, they'll seal the deal for you (always with a good fragrance too)</span></p>

<p><span>Tip 4: Add long layers (this is a pro tip on being chic). Putting on trench coats, long sweaters, long jackets, throw-overs, it really doesn’t get any more chic than that.</span></p>

<p><span>Tip 5: Put on good shoes, always put value on the type of shoes that go over your feet as a failsafe chic move. Clean, nice, shoes are always a worthy investment in the stylish journey. Plus it's classy too.</span></p>

<p><span>Tip 6: Minimalize accessories. In other words son't over-accessorize, keep it to a minimal 4 pieces (wrist-watch, earrings, rings and a neck-chain) are just about enough.</span></p>

<p><span>Tip 7: Be polite, kindness never killed anyone. To practice genuine humanity and politeness to the world around you, besides this simple act makes you look 20% more attractive than you already are. Being polite is that final piece that makes you chic and also grows your network.</span></p>
